June 24, 2025 | Beijing, China — Chinese energy storage company HyperStrong has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with European project developer Repono, aiming to jointly deploy 1.4 GWh of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Europe before the end of 2027.

Under the partnership, HyperStrong will provide fully integrated BESS solutions, while Repono will lead project development, including site selection, permitting, and grid connection. The two companies plan to collaborate on multiple projects in countries with high renewable penetration and growing demand for grid flexibility.

“This marks a key step in our long-term strategy for the European market,” said Wang Pingyang, Executive Vice President of HyperStrong. “Together with Repono, we will accelerate the rollout of safe, efficient, and grid-ready energy storage assets.”

Repono CEO Karim Nils Grueber noted that the partnership is built on over a year of technical alignment and due diligence. “HyperStrong offers reliable technology and strong integration capabilities. We are confident this cooperation will bring real impact to the European power system,” he said.

The joint projects are expected to enhance grid stability, support renewable integration, and help European countries meet carbon neutrality targets. Deployment will proceed in phases, with commercial operation of the first systems expected in late 2026.
